PEARL, Miss. (AP) - NFL legend Brett Favre’s Hometown Heroes will battle Gov. Phil Bryant’s Braves at Trustmark Park in Pearl on Aug. 21 with proceeds benefiting Special Olympics Mississippi.

The annual “Hit a Home Run for Special Olympics” charity softball game features Special Olympics athletes from across the state playing alongside celebrity teammates.

Scheduled to participate are Patrick House of “The Biggest Loser,” Ole Miss baseball coach Mike Bianco and former Mississippi State quarterback John Bond. Favre’s wife, Deanna, will also participate.

Tickets for the 5 p.m. matchup are $15 for premium seating between home plate and first or third base, and $10 for seating on the baselines beyond the bases.

Special Olympics Mississippi’s 2015 Softball Tournament will be held Aug. 22 at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland.
