HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - The National Weather Service says an EF0 tornado touched down near the Huntsville International Airport.

Officials say the tornado on Tuesday night lasted about two minutes and caused damage to several homes. Officials say most damage was to roofs, fences and small sheds.

The National Weather Service says the tornado’s top wind speed was 85mph. The storm was roughly 75 yards wide was on the ground for .91 miles.

An EF0 is the weakest of six categories used to measure tornadoes and officials say the storms pack winds of between 65 and 85 mph.

Authorities say no injuries have been reported.
