WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man accused of dousing a cruiser in gasoline and setting it on fire outside a police station has been indicted.

A Worcester County grand jury handed up the indictments last week against 45-year-old Arthur Burnham. Burnham is charged with throwing or placing an incendiary device and burning personal property.

Police say Burnham set fire to an unoccupied cruiser in the parking lot of the Southbridge Police Department last month.

Police say that Burnham was seen cheering after the car was engulfed in flames.

Telegram & Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1f2qs7J ) Burnham had to undergo a Bridgewater State Hospital evaluation to determine his competency to stand trial.

A psychologist who evaluated Burnham says he told her he has been diagnosed with depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, but refused to take medication.
