JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - An 8-year-old boy missing since Sunday has been found safe and authorities have arrested two women who were with him.

Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel tells The Clarion-Ledger (https://on.thec-l.com/1V4hh7y ) that he had gotten a call Wednesday as to their whereabouts and went to their location. Rigel says the two women turned themselves in to him without incident, and Broden Liam Bilbo of Magnolia was with them.

Authorities say the boy was last seen about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at an Exxon station in Magnolia.

MBI officials say the young boy was in the company of 44-year-old Crystal Elizabeth Simpson and Blakeley Danielle Cain. Both were wanted for kidnapping.

Officials say Simpson is the boy’s mother and Cain is the boy’s half-sister.
