WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - A collision of a dump truck and car in Waterloo left one man dead and three people injured.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1I2ZRmv ) the crash happened Tuesday when a dump truck driven by 66-year-old Robert Stedman, of Waterloo, apparently ran a stop sign. The truck, which was loaded with gravel, pulled into the path of a car, and the two vehicles collided.

The truck came to rest on its side, on top of the car.

Stedman died in the crash.

The driver of the car, 37-year-old Katherine Keister, was taken to a hospital. Two boys, ages 1 and 5, were passengers in the car and also were hospitalized.
