PITTSBURGH (AP) - One man is dead and another is critically wounded after police say they were shot while getting into a vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Crawford-Roberts section.

Police say an unidentified man approached on foot and started shooting around 12:45 a.m. Thursday.

They say the 20-year-old and 18-year-old victims were from the city’s East End and had been visiting a home on the block where they were shot.

The neighborhood is in the city’s Hill District, a blighted area being developed east of downtown.

The 20-year-old was wounded while getting into the driver’s seat ran and collapsed in the street about 30 feet away. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 18-year-old passenger was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the head.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.
