PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio (AP) - An investigation into the police department on Ohio’s South Bass Island has netted another indictment.

Former Put-in-Bay police officer Steven Korossy is accused of misusing a law enforcement database to look up information and lying to state investigators.

The Ohio Attorney General’s office says the charges came after investigators began looking into complaints about witness intimidation.

Korossy is from the Cleveland suburb of Brookpark. He couldn’t be reached to comment Wednesday. There was no telephone listing for him and court records did not list an attorney.

Put-in-Bay’s police chief has been on paid administrative since early this year after being charged with dereliction of duty and falsification. He’s accused of blocking an investigation into sexual assault claims against an officer more than a decade ago.
