GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a two-alarm fire that gutted a small commercial business in Glendale has been ruled accidental.

The blaze broke out about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Glendale, Phoenix and Peoria firefighters arrived on scene within minutes and say the blaze started in the cashier area of the small market after hours.

The fire quickly spread throughout the store and was prevented from extending to two other businesses by a fire wall.

The market was a total loss and several families were displaced in a nearby trailer park because of smoke damage and floating embers.

Gilbert Fire Department’s accelerant dog assisted in the investigation along with federal authorities to determine if it was an arson fire.
