SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A jury in Sioux Falls has convicted a rural Garretson man of sexually abusing a woman for nearly 14 years.

Jurors issued their verdict against 52-year-old Ronald Neels on Thursday.

He was charged with multiple felony sex offenses, including eight counts of rape. He was found guilty on all counts.

Neels, a truck driver, pleaded not guilty to all counts last year. His attorney could not immediately be reached to comment on the verdict.

The now 23-year-old victim has told detectives that she was abused by Neels for 13 years, starting when she was 9. She says the abuse ended just months before Neels was arrested in October.

A sentencing hearing for Neels hasn’t been scheduled. He faces up to life in prison.
