CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - After weeks of steady rain, a manmade hillside near the end of Yeager Airport’s main runway is slipping anew.

Airport and Kanawha County officials told the Charleston Daily Mail (https://bit.ly/1JiJw9C ) they were monitoring the area Wednesday for further movement. They said no structures were threatened.

A portion of the hill collapsed on March 12 after cracks were discovered. The airport’s operations have not been affected.

Airport spokesman Mike Plante said part of the top of the slide has fallen about 20 feet in what he calls the first significant movement in months.
