CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Police say a man found in a wrecked car in Charlotte had been shot to death.

Police told local media outlets that they were called to a shooting around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when they were alerted to a wreck in the same area.

Investigators say the man’s vehicle had hit a utility pole. The man had suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified as 34-year-old Kynyatta Dmyr Tshiona, 34.

Police say they do not thing the shooting was a random act. No arrests have been reported.
