BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - An 80-year-old south-central Montana man has died after his all-terrain vehicle was struck by a train southwest of Billings.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the man was riding the ATV across the tracks just north of Fromberg shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday when he was struck by the locomotive of a southbound freight train.

Trooper Chan Barry tells The Billings Gazette (https://bit.ly/1fMtPk6 ) that the Fromberg man died at the scene. His name has not been released.
