BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - A Gulfport man was arrested after officials say an argument with his cousin turned deadly.

Multiple media outlets report that 26-year-old Chris Andre Fairley was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday in connection with the shooting death of his cousin, 21-year-old Mark Anthony Fairley.

Lt. Chris De Back says officers responded the Iron Works Gym parking lot. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says Mark Fairley was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.

De Back says the two men, who were cousins, had been involved in an ongoing dispute and that an argument between the two led to the shooting.

Chris Fairley is being held in the Harrison County jail on bond. It is unclear if he has an attorney.

The investigation remains ongoing.
