ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman reports raising more than $2 million in campaign donations over the past six months.

The Manhattan Democrat, re-elected last fall over Republican John Cahill to a four-year term as the state’s top lawyer, shows a closing balance of almost $2.4 million.

His 2018 campaign fund reports spending more than $600,000, including $300,000 transferred to his 2014 campaign account to cover old expenses.

Donations include more than $225,000 from limited liability companies, $100,000 from stepmother Roberta Schneiderman, $60,800 from Chris Kelly of Atherton, California, and $30,000 each from James and Laura Ross of Manhattan.

Others are $41,100 from the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters, $29,700 from Physicians Reciprocal Insurers, $30,400 from Manhattan hedge fund manager David Einhorn and $20,000 from businessman John Catsimatidis of Manhattan.
