EPHRAIM, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have ramped up search efforts for a missing doctor in Door County.

Door County Sheriff’s Department chief deputy Pat McCarty tells Post-Crescent Media (https://post.cr/1Hwg9CS ) that authorities began using a plane and sonar-equipped boats Wednesday in the search for 63-year-old Jeffrey Whiteside.

Authorities say the Grand Chute resident was last seen June 29 after walking away from the Ephraim marina following an argument with his wife.

McCarty says authorities are “staying open to every possible outcome” in Whiteside’s disappearance.

Whiteside is a doctor at Fox Valley Pulmonary Medicine. Colleagues and co-workers helped to look for him Sunday. McCarty says volunteer dog handlers plan to expand their search in the coming days.
