FALMOUTH, Maine (AP) - Maine State Police say traffic is moving smoothly following a tractor-trailer fire that stopped traffic on the Maine Turnpike a few miles north of Portland.

Troopers say firefighters battled the blaze in the northbound lanes Thursday morning.

All lanes were initially closed but the southbound lanes later reopened. An official says all lanes were reopened by 11:06 a.m.

The incident remains under investigation.
