TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - A Tupelo woman has lost an attempt to have her bond reduced on a capital murder charge.

Forty-five-year-old Leah Bishop made her plea Thursday before Judge Sadie Holland during a hearing in Lee County Justice Court.

WTVA-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1MdHxd5 ) Bishop is charged with capital murder in the death of 65-year-old Jessie Traylor, of Tupelo.

Traylor was found in his home Wednesday after Bishop left a 21-page note at a museum in Laurel allegedly confessing to the crime. She was later arrested in Louisiana and is currently being held in the Lee County Jail on a $1 million bond.

Following the hearing, Holland denied the request to reduce bond.
