HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - If you love Christmas but hate winter, Hagerstown is your kind of place.

The western Maryland city celebrates Christmas in July this weekend, starting Friday.

The event in City Park features train rides for the kids, special events at the Hagerstown Railroad Museum and an outdoor showing of the movie, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” Saturday evening.

Out-of-season celebrations are becoming a thing in Hagerstown. Next month, the city will host its 20th annual Augustoberfest, featuring polka bands and Bavarian food and beer.
