ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have identified a man whose body was recovered from the Roaring Fork River downstream from the Devil’s Punchbowl area up Independence Pass.

Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo tells The Aspen Times (https://bit.ly/1LpePUO ) that 31-year-old Will Graham’s body was pulled from the river Wednesday. Graham had been missing since June 4 when it’s believed he jumped into the Devil’s Punchbowl during high water.

Hikers spotted his body Wednesday.

Graham’s mother, Geraldine Graham, says the confirmation brings painful closure to her son’s disappearance, adding “I hate losing hope but it was an unfounded hope.”
