ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police are searching for two suspects after a cab driver was shot in the downtown area.

The shooting happened after 3 a.m. Friday. The 55-year-old cab driver was grazed in the head by a bullet but not seriously hurt.

The cab driver had just picked up a passenger when a sedan pulled in front of the cab and suddenly stopped. The cab struck the rear bumper of the sedan and a third vehicle struck the back of the cab.

Police say two people got out of the sedan and began shooting. The cab driver pulled out his own gun and returned fire as the suspects drove away. It was unclear if either was hit.

The cab driver drove to a police substation. His passenger was not injured.
