LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a man and his girlfriend are jailed after they tied-up, assaulted and robbed a 94-year-old retired town judge inside his home in the Adirondacks.

The Post-Star of Glens Falls reports (https://bit.ly/1Sr1kEt ) 39-year-old Edward Wright Jr. and 31-year-old Jennifer Bond have been charged with burglary for the break-in that occurred Tuesday night at the home of former Lake George town justice James Corkland.

Police say Corkland was bound with a belt and suffered minor injuries. Officials say $150 in cash was stolen from his wallet.

A tip led investigators to a truck Bond had rented under a false name and parked in nearby Lake Luzerne.

Police say the couple confessed to the home invasion after questioning.

Wright’s attorney had no comment.

Bond’s attorney said his client was unaware of what was planned.
