HOUSTON (AP) - Officials say a man has been arrested in the shooting death of a 36-year-old working security at a Houston-area club six years ago.

The Harris County sheriff’s office said Friday that 36-year-old Shedrick Orell Rhine has been charged with murder in the death of James Thomas in July 2009. He’s being held in jail without bond. Court records didn’t list an attorney.

Officials said Thomas was working the front entrance when Rhine became involved in an altercation inside the club and was escorted out by security. Officials say Rhine then got a gun from his vehicle, firing on patrons and security workers.

Two other security workers were wounded.

At the time, investigators didn’t have a suspect. Rhine was later identified as a suspect during a cold case review.
