MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (AP) - A southern New Jersey man has been indicted on charges that he bludgeoned to death his girlfriend and her father with a pipe wrench earlier this year.

Burlington County Prosecutor Robert Bernardi said Friday Dennis Pozniak has been indicted on two counts of first-degree murder and two weapons offenses.

Authorities say police arrived Jan. 31 at the Mount Holly residence where Pozniak was living with 24-year-old Nicole Wilson and her father 52-year-old Bryan Wilson after a family member discovered their bodies.

Pozniak was in the house and treated for self-inflicted cuts before being jailed on $1 million bail.

He was arrested and charged Feb. 1. A medical examiner determined the Wilsons died from head trauma from a wrench.

Pozniak’s attorney Timothy Farrow says he plans to enter not guilty pleas.
