SEATTLE (AP) - A man killed when he tried to stop a Seattle-area robbery has been identified by the King County medical examiner’s office as Edward Grant.

The Seattle Times reports that the King County sheriff’s office says the 51-year-old man from the south Seattle suburb of Burien was shot early Tuesday outside an apartment complex. Sgt. Stan Seo says investigators believe Grant was shot while trying to help a person he knew who was being robbed.

So far sheriff’s officers have not been able to identify or locate the robbery victim or locate a suspect.
