NEW YORK (AP) - A Bronx man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting last week.

The New York Police Department said Friday that 27-year-old Jeffrey Jackson was arrested on murder and manslaughter charges. It’s not immediately clear whether Jackson has a lawyer who can comment on the arrest.

Investigators believe Jackson is linked to the death of 27-year-old Lavon Latimer of Queens. Latimer was shot multiple times July 10 in the Mount Hope neighborhood. He died at a hospital.

Police said earlier this week they were searching for three suspects.
