GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Glendale police say a 15-year-old Phoenix boy has died after being struck while crossing a street outside of a crosswalk.

Police said the first of two vehicles to strike the boy Thursday night left the scene but that the driver of the second vehicle remained.

The vehicle that left was described by police as a midsize four-day passenger car with possible front-end damage to the grill and hood. Its color was variously described as tan, white or grey.

Citing the victim’s age, police did not release his name. He died Friday morning.

The accident occurred on 67th Avenue near Bethany Home Road.
