GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Police say a military recruiter has been hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself at a recruitment center in Hall County.

Gainesville Police Cpl. Kevin Holbrook tells the Times of Gainesville (https://bit.ly/1J5hmmY ) there is no need for public alarm after an accidental shooting at the Armed Forces Recruiting center on Dawsonville Highway Friday morning.

Holbrook says a preliminary investigation led police to believe the recruiter accidentally shot himself in his leg. Authorities say he was taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

The shooting comes a day after four marines were fatally shot at a Navy-Marine training center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The 24-year-old shooter was also killed.
