CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - A lawyer for a 43-year-old chairman of Cohasset’s school committee says his client has resigned following sexual solicitation accusations.

Police say Paul Ognibene, a real estate developer, was arrested Tuesday evening in a food court of a Cambridge mall.

Court records obtained by WCVB-TV show Ognibene is charged with of soliciting sexual services for a fee after placing an advertisement on Craigslist seeking a “cute” office assistant. He told an undercover officer the job’s additional duties included sex acts for $50 per hour.

Ognibene refused comment following his Friday arraignment in Cambridge District Court. He was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty.

Jeanne Astino, the vice chairman of school committee, tells The Patriot Ledger she has not been notified of Ognibene’s resignation as of late Friday morning.
