MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Memphis police say nine people have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies that targeted Hispanic residents and businesses.

The Commercial Appeal (https://bit.ly/1IayLLV ) reports that 20 Hispanic residents and two businesses were targeted in the robberies.

Police announced the arrests on Friday. They say the suspects were well organized in the robberies and worked together by using various vehicles.

The robberies occurred from May to July.

In at least some of the cases, one of the victims reported being struck in the head with a firearm.
