TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Workers have unearthed another Civil War-era cannonball at the University of Alabama after discovering a cache of 10 others last month.

The Tuscaloosa News reports (https://bit.ly/1OdQdO9 ) a crew installing wiring in front of Rowand-Johnson Hall found the latest buried cannonball Friday morning. University spokeswoman Cathy Andreen said employees were asked to leave the building and a stretch of Stadium Drive was closed for about 45 minutes while explosive disposal technicians from the police department removed the shell.

The site isn’t far from where workers repairing a sidewalk found 10 unexploded cannonballs buried in the ground on the Alabama campus. Any cannonballs that are successfully defused are being added to the university’s museum collection.
