KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - The old Flathead County Courthouse in Kalispell is finally getting a clock for its tower thanks to an anonymous $9,800 donation.

The project is the brainchild of Bigfork resident Stan Fisher, who brought a proposal to Flathead County Commission.

County administrator Mike Pence says it’s not clear why clocks were never installed at the top of the 113-year-old tower.

But he says the idea of filling those spaces has been kicked around before.

The courthouse sits in a prime location at the south end of Kalispell’s Main Street. It was built in 1902.
