SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) - An admitted killer with delusions that he’s the king of the world and believes he sees ghosts has been found not guilty of first-degree murder by reason of insanity in the death of a college student.

Pottawatomie County District Judge John G. Canavan Jr. made the ruling Friday after experts for both the prosecution and defense agreed that 20-year-old Jerrod Murray didn’t know right from wrong at the time of the killing.

The Oklahoman reports (https://bit.ly/1e7IaWx ) Murray will be committed to a state mental hospital in Vinita for treatment and can’t be released unless a judge agrees he’s no longer a danger to society.

Murray was arrested in 2012 for shooting 18-year-old Generro Sanchez, who was a fellow freshman at East Central University.
