BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The newly hired chancellor of the North Dakota University System is holding a series of listening sessions with the state’s business leaders next month.

Chancellor Mark Hagerott will host a total of six meetings in the first week of August across the state. The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1fdTAch ) that Greater North Dakota Chamber of Commerce president Any Peterson will be leading the discussions.

The meetings are intended to help Hagerott gather feedback from business leaders on how the future of higher education will impact the future of business.

The State Board of Higher Education selected Hagerott as the next chancellor of the state’s public higher education system in April. Hagerott took over the position earlier this month from interim Chancellor Larry Skogen.
