MINOT, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota State Fair Parade is on tap in Minot.

The parade begins at 9 a.m. at the corner of Burdick and Broadway. This year’s grand marshal is Fred Hurt, who was Dakota Fred on the hit TV program “Gold Rush” for four seasons.

This year’s parade theme is “North Dakota Gold - 50 Years of Memories.” The fair is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The festival got underway Friday and continues through next Saturday.
