CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (AP) - Actress Loretta Swit is an honorary grand marshal of western New York’s annual Pulaski Day Parade honoring Polish-born Revolutionary War hero Casimir Pulaski.

Swit’s grandparents were born in Poland. She and others of Polish descent will march along the route in the Buffalo suburb of Cheektowaga (cheek-toh-WAH-gah) on Sunday.

Swit is best known for her role as Maj. Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan on the series “M.A.S.H.”
