LAYTONVILLE, Calif. (AP) - Mendocino County sheriff’s officials say two people were stabbed to death and two others were wounded and that a man was arrested at the scene.

Sheriff Tom Allman tells the San Rosa Press Democrat (https://bit.ly/1CKcF0U ) the stabbings were reported Sunday by a caller who said two people had been killed and the suspect was still at a property near Laytonville in Mendocino County.

Sheriff’s deputies and Long Valley firefighters responded to the property where they treated two wounded people who were taken to a hospital.

Allman says there were two other people at the property who were not injured.
