ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police say a bicyclist has died after being hit by a vehicle in Albuquerque and alcohol may have been a factor.

KOB-TV in Albuquerque reports (https://bit.ly/1JagH3D) that police say the male bicyclist was riding inside the Tanoan Country Club gated community at the time of the collision.

He was at the intersection of Tanoan and Cypress NE when the vehicle struck him.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police say the driver of the vehicle appeared to be drunk and a DWI unit is investigating.

The bicyclist’s identity has not been released pending notification of family.

The driver’s name was not given either.
