MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Police in Mobile shot and wounded a man who they say turned toward them with a weapon.

Mobile police said in a statement that the shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, as two officers were responding to an unrelated call. Police say the officers saw a man shooting at another person, and ordered him to drop his weapon. Police say the man turned toward the officers while still armed, and the officers then opened fire.

WKRG-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1JqIgkT) that the suspect was struck once in the arm and was taken to hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
