NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Police in North Charleston are investigating a weekend shooting that left one teenager dead and a second in the hospital in critical condition.

Local media outlets report that officers responded to a home about 3 a.m. Saturday where they found two males with gunshot wounds. The incident happened when whoever shot the victims broke into the house.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office reports one of the victims, 17-year-old Traquan Singleton of North Charleston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim, identified as Omar Gentile, was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina with several gunshot wounds.

No arrests have yet been made in the case.
