PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - A mental health therapist has been accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 17-year-old boy she was counseling.

Passaic County prosecutors say 27-year-old Radha Singh, of Hazlet Township, is charged with sex assault and child endangerment. They say the alleged incidents occurred on multiple occasions over the past few months at a facility in Paterson.

Singh could face up to 20 years in state prison if she’s convicted on both counts. A telephone number for her could not be located Sunday, and it wasn’t known if she has retained an attorney.

It wasn’t clear Sunday when Singh had started counseling the youth.
