TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation has donated $5 million to the Alzheimer’s Association Oklahoma Chapter for research.

The Tulsa World reports (https://bit.ly/1Jr19Ee ) that the recent gift is the largest research donation ever given to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The money will be used to fund Zenith Fellows - researchers with a proven track record of success who have received money from the Alzheimer’s Association before.

Mark Fried, the president and CEO of the association’s Oklahoma chapter, says the donation will be divided among a dozen separate projects that have shown promise.

Henry Zarrow died last year. Anne, his wife of 63 years, died in 2005. Their namesake foundation gives primarily to Jewish causes and social services in Tulsa.
