ST. GEORGE, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol says two people have been killed and four others were seriously injured following a weekend wreck on Interstate 95 near St. George.

The patrol says that the six people were in a van driven by a woman from New Jersey when the accident happened about 9:45 p.m. Sunday north of St. George about 10 miles from where the highway crosses Interstate 26.

The patrol says the van swerved off the interstate, hit a guard rail and went down an embankment before overturning.

Two passengers in the van were killed while the driver and three others were taken to the hospital. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
