JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Three men have been jailed on charges that they traveled to a western Pennsylvania housing project where they robbed a heroin dealer who was fatally shot in the process.

Thirty-five-year-old Perry Henderson and 20-year-old Kenneth Simmons, both of Mount Union, are charged with criminal homicide, robbery and conspiracy along with 41-year-old Stanley Spriggs, fo McConnellsburg.

Police say the men went to Solomon Homes in Johnstown where 22-year-old Thomas Peebles was fatally shot.

Police say Henderson and Simmons pulled guns and that Peebles was shot in the head as the deal became a robbery. Police say Spriggs was the getaway driver.

Online court records don’t list attorneys for the men who are charged with killing Peebles about 2 a.m.

The men face a preliminary hearing Thursday.
