BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Three people have been arrested in connection with vandalism of logging equipment earlier this month in Ouachita Parish.

The state Department of Agriculture and Forestry, in a news release, says 22-year-old Joshua Jurca, 21-year-old Rhonda Barnes and a 13-year-old juvenile were booked Monday with felony criminal damage to property over $50,000.

Authorities say the suspects, among other things, allegedly cut hydraulic hoses on a John Deere loader, broke the windshield and gauges on a log truck and poured dirt in the fuel tank and engine block.

Jurca and Barnes, both of Monroe, were booked into the Ouachita Parish Detention Center. The juvenile, whose name and hometown was not released, was booked into Green Oaks Detention Center in Monroe. It was unknown if any of the suspects has an attorney.
