DENVER (AP) - Several people were hurt when a balcony at an apartment complex in Greeley collapsed, but only minor injuries were reported.

Greeley Police Sgt. Mike Heck tells The Denver Post an officer patrolling the area heard a large crash at about 7 p.m. Monday. Two adults were on the third-story balcony, and several were on the second floor, including a 3-year-old girl.

Three people were taken to a hospital.

KMGH-TV in Denver reports the third-story balcony collapsed onto the two balconies below it.

The cause of the collapse was not immediately known, but building inspectors were at the scene investigating.
