BOSTON (AP) - A City Councilor is demanding a full copy of the initial bid Boston submitted to the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Councilor Tito Jackson has proposed issuing a written summons to Boston 2024 CEO Richard Davey to provide the materials by the Aug. 13 meeting of the council’s Olympics oversight committee.

The proposal, which will be presented to the full council for approval at its Wednesday meeting, comes after Olympics organizers refused Jackson’s written requests for the final two chapters of the bid book.

Boston 2024, which has touted transparency in developing its proposal, released the original bid in January and issued a revised version in late June.

Jackson believes the redacted chapters include financial commitments impacting city taxpayers. A Boston 2024 spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
