BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - Police say they are seeking three suspects in an incident that left a Butte man in intensive care at a local hospital with an apparent gunshot wound and facial injuries.

The Montana Standard reports (https://bit.ly/1Kh3IvJ ) Butte-Silver Bow police responded to a 3:42 a.m. call in Butte Monday of a possible gunshot and three people fleeing in a car.

Police chased the suspects in a car with Lewis and Clark County license plates a short distance until it got stuck in a ditch. The suspects fled on foot and remain at large. Authorities recovered a 45-caliber gun from the car.

A 62-year-old man whose leg was bleeding was found standing on a porch near the scene.
