CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police say they’ve recovered evidence from a Southwest Side lagoon as part of an investigation into the disappearance of a Georgia woman.

WLS-TV reported Monday (https://abc7.ws/1JcjERd ) 28-year-old Laneesha Miller of Marietta, Georgia, was reported missing June 27. Her family called Chicago police when she failed to return home to Georgia.

Authorities were seen draining the Marquette Park lagoon after investigators say they received a tip about the disappearance.

Investigators have not elaborated on the evidence they recovered from the lagoon.
