POWELL, Wyo. (AP) - In a story July 17 about a pickup truck crash southeast of Powell, Wyoming, The Associated Press erroneously identified Pilar Snelling, a passenger who was killed, as a man. She was a woman.

A corrected version of the story is below:

Cody woman, 38, killed in crash southeast of Powell

Cody woman, 38, killed when truck he was in crashed into fence southeast of Powell

POWELL, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a Cody woman was killed when the pickup she was in crashed into a fence southeast of Powell.

Sgt. David Wagener says 38-year-old Pilar Snelling was thrown from the truck when it went off the road at the intersection of Wyoming highways 32 and 295 just before midnight Thursday. She died at the scene.

The driver, 28-year-old Daniel Cook, of Emblem, was treated at a hospital in Powell and released.

The Patrol says the crash marks the 70th highway fatality in the state this year. There were 74 fatalities during the same time period last year.
