FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The defense is getting its turn in the trial of a Fargo man accused of killing his roommate a year ago.

Twenty-five-year-old Christopher Hampton is on trial in the June 2014 shooting death of 28-year-old Randall Doehner, his cousin. He could face life in prison without parole if convicted of murder.

The prosecution rested its case on Friday, after four days of testimony.

The defense is now getting its chance to present its case. Hampton claims Doehner was trying to poison him.
